1/16/2011 - LATEST UPDATES ON THE TROPHY LODGE
 
We are currently in the process of getting the remaining rooms in the upstairs of the Trophy Lodge & laying out bathroom/showers for both floors! The Trophy Lodge should be able to handle 8-10 people easy.  This is exciting and overdue.  Dan Cline from Memphis, TN, installed a new kitchen and the granite countertops look great. Thanks Dan! 

 

1/16/2011 -  SEE US AT THE EXPO!

 

 Matt Smith, from Winter Haven, FL, put 4 pictures of "Triple Crown Buck" in the January issue of "Woods N’ Water Magazine ". This is a popular Florida magazine.  Trophy Club Outfitters will be at the Lakeland, FL, Big Buck Expo!  We are also chosen to be one of the top 10 giveaway hunts.  These tickets can be purchased through "Southern Trophy Hunters".  Stop by the booth and look at the “Triple Crown” (2010, Matt Smith) buck, “Maduza” (2009, Toney Lorenzo) buck, “O.G. 8” (2008, Jose Anon) buck and many other Trophy Club hall of fame mounts. 

 

1/15/2011 - FINAL STATS FOR 2010 PLUS ADDITIONAL PROPERTY IN 2011

 

Our 2010 final stats ended up great.  We had 28 archery hunters and 7 mature bucks harvested, lost one deer the first week.  Five muzzleloaders and 3 kills. Total bucks harvested 10, and 26 doe.  Archery % is the best we have ever had.


2011 brings growth and opportunity for all.  Those that have hunted with me know that the family farm of approximately 3000 acres is what we operate on.  I am actively talking to local farmers and landowners for some additional property.  My intentions are to have additional hunts that are more on the “do it yourself/drop camp" yet still have food plots and stands ready to go.  This type of hunt will be designed for those that want to be there in the wilderness.   I have two campers, a 17' and 32' that you would stay at.  The management practices are still in affect, and a guide will be there daily to check in with.  We will provide all services in your hunt.  We also plan to have these new areas open to the firearm season (muzzleloader/handgun).   My goal is to have the family farm as an archery only area. We are experiencing many rebookings for 2011.  I will continue to keep prices the same as 2010 this year, with a great possibility that we will have some new property to extend to those bone collectors. 

 

1/14/2011 - DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS FOR 2011 

 

 Those who have hunted with us and are planning to come in 2011 need to send a deposit ($500.00) so that we can count you in for the week you desire.  March 1, 2011 is the deadline and we will then allow those wanting to hunt corn fed Midwest bucks to send in their deposits.  Many hunters will send payments throughout the year so that it is easier to manage the experience!! We will try and keep the Trophy Lodge to 8 hunters  per week.  If anyone wants to come to Trophy Club Outfitters do not hesitate to contact Neil Masten at 765-721-4114.   We are also on Facebook!

2/27/2010 - THE 2009 SEASON IN REVIEW

 

It was a great 2009 season even with only 1/2 capacity.  The new lodge gave everyone a new outlook for the future of Trophy Club Outfitters.  Neil and Charles were extremely lucky to have realistic hunters in the quest for a mature whitetail.  A few constructive ideas on operations have been tossed around.  Our Week #5 hunters from Tennessee gave us a lesson on how decoys really work. (See the Brute 12pt Andrew Miller slammed at 25yd in food plot on Nov. 4th) Incredible hunt in urban area!

 

The following week with the Lorenzo group brought down the house!  Seven hunters and 4 mature bucks. Everyone had shot opportunities.  It all happened on Friday, Nov.13th.  It was the last day and 3 big boys went down...including the now famous South Florida "Medusa" buck.  A non-typical that pushes the 170's.    
 
Thanks to all our past hunters and their families in a time of struggles and challenges. It is those who allow us here at Trophy Club Outfitters to live out our passions.
